Platform Overview
Global Watch is designed around three core concepts:
1. Accounts
Global Watch supports two types of accounts:
- Personal Account - Your individual workspace for personal projects
- Team Account - Shared workspaces for organizations with multiple members
2. Projects
Projects are the central unit of work in Global Watch. Each project represents a forest area and contains:
- Geospatial data - Boundaries, coordinates, and area calculations
- Assets - Trees, equipment, and other tracked items
- Documents - Reports, permits, and compliance documentation
- Members - Team members with specific roles and permissions
3. Billing
Global Watch uses a usage-based billing model:
- Per-seat pricing - Pay for each team member
- Hectares tracking - Usage based on managed forest area
- Flexible plans - Scale up or down as needed
