Satellite Layer Timeline Visibility
The imagery timeline now follows the satellite layer's visibility control. When you turn the layer off with the eye button, image date selectors, timeline points, and playback controls are hidden.
An explanatory message appears in their place so it is clear that dates are unavailable because satellite imagery is turned off, rather than because the project has no images.
Turn imagery back on
- Open Image settings.
- Select the eye button to show the satellite layer.
- The timeline returns with the same date range and selected image you were using before.
If playback was running when the layer was hidden, it stops automatically. Turning the layer back on does not start playback by itself.
This behavior is available on desktop, mobile, and public maps in English, Portuguese, and Arabic.
